Job Description The Enrollment Specialist, Evaluation & Selection is part of the Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) unit in the Owen Graduate School of Management (OGSM) at Vanderbilt University. The role is a key contributor responsible for enhancing the OGSM's admitted and deposited student yield initiatives, ensuring that communication with students is clear, impactful, and aligned with the school’s enrollment objectives. This position involves applicant interview management, coordinating yield communication for admitted candidates, and planning and executing onboarding activities across all programs s role reports directly to the Sr.
Director of Evaluation and Selection.

- Strategic Communications:
Develop and execute comprehensive yield and onboarding communication that support enrollment initiatives and institutional onboarding needs. - Collaboration:
Act as the primary liaison for the Owen Graduate School of Management Strategic Enrollment Management Team and other departments to execute cohesive communication efforts for admitted and deposited candidates. Collaborate with the Recruiting & Outreach Team to ensure effective execution of yield and engagement efforts. - Application component management:
Facilitate interview scheduling across OGSM programs and engage with the Selection and Evaluation team to ensure the timely and accurate determination of admissions decisions that align with institutional objectives and priorities. - Data Analysis:
Monitor and analyze engagement and onboarding metrics to assess the effectiveness of engagement and onboarding strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvements. - Event Communication Support:
Collaborate with the Recruitment and Outreach team to effectively promote engagement and onboarding events, ensuring effective communication leading up to and following each event. - Performance Measurement:
Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Selection and Evaluation to develop Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) related to the effectiveness of enrollment communications and the communication management process. - Recruitment Support:
Assist in recruitment and outreach efforts to promote the OGSM with prospective students as needed in collaboration with the Recruitment and Outreach team. - Other duties as assigned
This role does not entail direct supervisory responsibilities for either full-time nor part-time staff members. This role reports directly to the Sr. Director of Selection and Evaluation.
Qualifications- Education:
Bachelor’s degree required. - Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in communications, marketing, or enrollment management within a higher education setting, with experience specifically supporting recruitment efforts preferred. - Writing
Skills:
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling and persuasive content tailored to different audiences. - Digital and CRM Proficiency:
Familiarity with digital marketing tools and/or CRM platforms, such as Technolutions Slate, preferred. - Interpersonal
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, enabling effective relationships with internal stakeholders and prospective students. - Attention to Detail:
Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in project execution and program management. - Analytical
Skills:
Ability to analyze communication data and metrics to inform strategic decisions and improve outreach efforts.
