Description
The School of Communication seeks a Communication professor with expertise in the practice and theory of communication and rhetoric. The ideal candidate has a PhD in Communication Studies, with specialties in Speech Communication, Rhetoric, and Digital Rhetoric. Preference will be given to candidates with college teaching, administrative and curricular design experience. The position will include service as Department Chair and will actively support specialties in Speech, Communication, Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, and New Media Studies.
With a 24 hour teaching load as a tenure‑track, 10‑month faculty member, course release time will be granted for serving as Department Chair and Lead Faculty for the Powers of Words Rhetorical Sequence, Lipscomb's Communication and Composition Core curriculum co‑requisite classes.
