Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Assisting with all standard operations required in
1) running and maintaining the Motion Pictures (MOT) equipment inventory, and
2) facilitating check-out/check-in for MOT student film productions. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Physically moving gear from one location to another for storage or production.
  • Operating specialized gear; repairing damaged gear.
  • Assisting in the check-in/out process for MOT student productions.
  • Occasionally facilitating student gear check-in/out without manager supervision.
  • Organization and upkeep of MOT storage spaces in Johnson Center.

This position requires a student with an interest in/aptitude for audio-visual (AV) equipment, general diligence and punctuality, level-headedness, and reliability.

Required Qualifications

Ability to safely lift, carry, and hold 50+ lbs on a regular basis.

Ability to comfortably walk up and downstairs on a regular basis.

Ability to handle specialized gear with care and precision.

Required Education

Must be enrolled as a current MOTP student at Belmont University. Required course prerequisite: passing grade in MOT 2250 (Cinematography I).

Required Experience

Professional or student film/television production experience preferred. Knowledge of AV equipment preferred.
