Summary

Learn & Grow Creative Arts Center LLC is an inclusive, secular school located in Hermitage, TN. Learn & Grow offers a creative curriculum with a focus on a STEAM based academic approach including ASL, art, dance, English language arts, geography, music, science, Spanish, outdoor exploration, and much more. The classroom serves children ages 12‑18 months on a schedule of 8:00‑4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, with afternoons off.

Duties
  • Develop a careful and creative program suitable for toddlers
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
  • Observe each child to help them improve their social skills and build self-esteem
  • Guide children to develop their social/emotional and developmental capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum / play
  • Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
  • Engage in teaching / play at the children's level
  • Collaborate with other educators
  • Work independently
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Requirements

This position is an immediate hire with the passing of a background check, completion of required online trainings, provision of 3 references, and a physical exam. Applicants must have a copy of their HS diploma or higher. Experience teaching in childcare centers, knowledge of DHS rules, and at least one year of previous teaching experience are preferred. All applicants will receive substantial on‑the‑job training once hired.
