Seeking dedicated and enthusiastic students to provide tutoring services at John Trotwood Moore Middle School. As a Federal Work‑Study Tutor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' academic progress by providing individual tutoring, after‑school tutoring, and in‑class support. Your role will involve assisting teachers in providing individual attention to students who require extra help in various subjects.
Hours are very flexible and will be adjusted to work around your schedule. This role is for Federal Work Study eligible students.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one‑on‑one tutoring sessions to students during the school day.
- Identify students' academic needs and develop personalized tutoring plans to address their specific challenges.
- Help students understand and apply concepts, complete assignments, and prepare for exams.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment for students.
- Assist in organizing and conducting after‑school tutoring sessions.
- Work with small groups of students or individual students to reinforce concepts covered in class.
- Help students with homework assignments, projects, and exam preparation.
- Monitor and track students' progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.
- Collaborate with teachers to identify students who need additional support in the classroom.
- Provide in‑class support to students during lessons, ensuring their understanding of the material.
- Assist with classroom activities and projects, offering guidance and clarification as needed.
- Work closely with teachers to implement strategies and interventions to support student learning.
