Overview
Join RePublic Schools, a network of public charter schools serving over 3,300 scholars across Jackson, Mississippi, and Nashville, Tennessee. We are seeking innovative, resilient, and dedicated educators to join us as a General Education Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year.
What You’ll Do- Drive Academic Results:
Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that challenges and supports all learners. Use assessment data to monitor scholar progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse academic needs. Create a classroom environment where scholars feel valued, inspired, and supported to succeed academically and socially. - Foster a Collaborative Culture:
Partner with colleagues to design effective lessons, share best practices, and align on instructional strategies. Participate in weekly professional development sessions, embracing feedback to continuously refine your teaching practice. Contribute to a school culture of growth, accountability, and collective success. - Support Scholar Success:
Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of scholars at varying levels of proficiency and readiness. Implement strategies that support academic achievement, critical thinking, and a love of learning. Maintain accurate records of scholar performance and communicate progress effectively. - Cultivate Meaningful Relationships:
Build strong, trust-based relationships with scholars, families, and colleagues to foster a supportive school community. Communicate regularly with families about scholar progress, strengths, and areas for growth. Advocate for the needs of all learners, ensuring equitable access to academic opportunities and resources.
- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- Valid teaching certification or enrollment in a state-accredited Alternative Certification Program by the start of employment.
- Preferred:
Previous teaching experience, particularly in underserved communities.
- Passionate about teaching and committed to helping every scholar reach their full potential.
- A lifelong learner who welcomes feedback and continuously seeks to improve your practice.
- Resilient and resourceful, with a strong belief in the potential of every child.
- Skilled in using data to inform instruction and drive outcomes.
- An excellent communicator who values relationships with scholars, families, and colleagues.
