Overview
Tri Star Southern Hills is seeking family medicine physicians for GME Faculty and Core Faculty positions within our community-based outpatient residency program in Nashville, TN.
SpecializationFamily Medicine without OB
Qualifications- Board certified by the ABMS in family medicine
- Tennessee licensure or ability to obtain
- Interest and ability to provide broad scope patient care
- Procedurally oriented for outpatient clinic setting
- Demonstrate interest in the education of residents
- Commitment to leadership in resident education and program administration
- Compassion, professionalism, and dedication to lifelong learning
- Split time between educational, administrative, and clinical care
- Serve as a role model, mentor, and advisor to residents in the program
- Participate in the selection, orientation, and evaluation of residents
- Contribute to the development of program curriculum and evaluation tools
- Provide appropriate levels of resident supervision to ensure patient safety
- Support the Program Director (PD) and Associate Program Director (APD) in the implementation of policies and procedures consistent with institutional and program requirements
- Assist with the incorporation and application of ACGME Milestones into evaluation tools
- Participate in program evaluation and clinical competency committees
- Prepare and deliver structured educational activities as requested by the APD or PD
- Participate in scholarship, preferably in collaboration with residents
- Actively participate in faculty development initiatives
