Our multidisciplinary team offers expertise in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Civil, Environmental, Structural, and Marine Engineering, Surveying, GIS, and Construction Administration. We are currently seeking a motivated and creative entry-level Landscape Designer to join our Nashville office.
Position Overview
As a Landscape Designer at Thomas & Hutton, you will be part of a collaborative studio environment working alongside experienced landscape architects, planners, and engineers on a wide range of public and private sector projects. This role offers hands-on exposure to all phases of the design process and is an excellent opportunity for professional growth within a supportive, design-focused firm.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the preparation of landscape construction documents, planting plans, and site layouts
- Support design development, concept planning, and graphic visualization efforts
- Contribute to reports, cost estimates, specifications, and technical exhibits
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams throughout project delivery
- Assist with site planning, land development, and permitting support
- Participate in design reviews and coordination with senior staff
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
- 0–3 years of professional or internship experience in landscape architecture or related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD / Civil 3D, Sketch Up, Lumion, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong organizational, communication, and graphic skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Internship or prior office experience preferred
- Collaborative, studio-based environment
- Standard work schedule:
Monday–Thursday 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM;
Friday 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM - Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines

Must submit a portfolio that accurately represents experience and understanding of the design process to include built projects photos, presentation graphics and other design materials that represent skill set.
