Overview

We are looking for a motivated, experienced Designer & Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the management and execution of multiple design projects and will work under and closely with the Company’s Principal. This individual will work collaboratively with design staff to ensure the design vision is executed and will play a critical role in the development of our junior design staff.

• Own and manage execution of multiple design projects from inception to completion
• Act as point person for and maintain personable and professional working relationships with assigned clients, contractors, and architects, ensuring regular correspondence such as project updates, issue resolution, scheduling, and/or follow up, relaying to Principal as needed
• Act as the conduit between the Principal, Client, Architect, Contractors, and Design Team to ensure design vision is clearly articulated and executed, escalating design decisions and/or issues to Principal as needed
• Participate in all client meetings, preparing agendas and materials in collaboration with Principal, taking notes, and following up on takeaways
• Create, manage, and maintain project budgets, orders, tracking and timelines, delegating tasks to design staff as appropriate and driving accountability to meet project milestones
• Generate thoughtful and detailed drawings, schedules, floor plans, and elevations in CAD to facilitate design
• Create detailed FF&E specifications and work orders
• Request quotes and develop client proposals – sourcing items such as furniture, fabrics, accessories, finishes, plumbing, hardware, lighting, etc.
• Manage construction team and contractors, including redlining drawings, coordinating timelines, attending construction meetings, and visiting sites
• Ensure all items are approved, ordered, and on track
• Oversee and lead installation and project closeout

• Proficiency In:
  Excellent written and communications skills and friendly, professional telephone manner
• Must be highly motivated, independent worker, organized, and extremely detail oriented
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
