* Job Description:

**** Overview:
** As a key member of a survey crew, the Rodman provides essential support to ensure the successful completion of land surveying projects under the direction of the Party Chief.
** Responsibilities:
*** Clear brush and obstacles to maintain line of sight.
* Carry and set up equipment, such as rods, tripods, and prisms, for staking and measurement.
* Load and unload survey equipment and supplies for job assignments.
* Maintain survey supplies, such as nails, paint, rods, and flags, ensuring the crew is prepared for daily tasks.
* Gather supplies, dig for corners, and cut lines.
* Search for and correctly identify monuments.
* Plumb prisms to ensure accurate measurements.
* Measure distances using chains, tape, or other methods.
* Clean and maintain survey equipment.
* Complete other tasks related to field surveying as assigned.

* Qualifications:

*** High school diploma or GED certification required.
* Ability to grasp basic surveying concepts and techniques.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees.
* Ability to follow directions from supervisors and work collaboratively with engineering staff and management.
* Must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions and terrains for extended periods.
* Physical ability to lift and carry survey equipment weighing up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis.
* Demonstrated dependability, reliability, and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
