Charter Construction is a full-package concrete contractor that operates primarily in Middle Tennessee, working on a large variety of concrete-framed commercial structures. Charter is currently seeking to hire an Estimator responsible for planning, organizing, and preparing detailed cost estimates and schedules on individual construction projects.

• Take full ownership of projects from start to finish.
• Organize project documents and control information flow during preconstruction phase.
• Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to understand project scope.
• Perform accurate material, labor, and equipment quantity takeoffs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial concrete work, including foundations, slabs, walls, and site concrete.
• Develop and manage project schedule, sequence, and logistics plans.
• Solicit and review pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
• Develop and submit complete bid proposals on time.
• Collaborate with project management and field teams to understand scopes and schedules.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as necessary.
• Track bid results and maintain estimating database for future reference.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with designers, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Collaborate with structural engineers to assist in developing project designs.
• Negotiate contract agreements with clients.

• Proficient with OST, MS Excel, MS Project, and Bluebeam.

• 3-5 years of commercial construction experience required, either with a concrete subcontractor or general contractor/construction manager.
