This position is with our National Healthcare Division and candidates must be open to 100% travel. Project assignment/location may not be reflected in this posting. Candidates will be eligible for travel incentives.

The Superintendent 1 will help plan, manage, and execute all aspects of assigned projects. Responsibilities include managing materials and equipment, assisting with people management, ensuring documentation is complete, and meeting project goals for timely and profitable completion, all in support of JE Dunn's strategy, vision, and values.

• Lead safety culture and create awareness for an injury-free environment.
• Manage subcontractors and organize overall project workflow.
• Oversee company staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and programs such as Safety, Quality, and EEOC.
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate project site care, custody, and control.
• Lead meetings including daily standups and weekly trade meetings.
• Participate in project meetings and manage project schedule with the Project Manager.
• Track and monitor project budget and costs.
• Communicate key project information to stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation and logs.
• Approve and record unit cost information, complete reports and logs.
• Evaluate progress and adjust as needed.
• Manage material and equipment needs.
• Support procurement and approval processes.
• Assist in selecting formwork, tools, and equipment.
• Manage timecard approval and ensure accurate reporting.
• Ensure quality compliance and support project closeouts.
• Participate in project pursuit and planning processes.
• Establish field staffing and manage project changes.
• Participate in negotiations and project review meetings.
• Understand and apply contract terms and conditions.
• Identify and recruit top talent.
• Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.

• Perform work accurately, completely, and timely.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
• Knowledge of construction management fundamentals and project processes.
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.

• High School Diploma or GED;
  Bachelor's preferred.
• At least 3 years of construction experience, with 1+ years in field supervision.

• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours.
• Exposure to extreme conditions and physical activity.
