A testing and inspection client of Insight Global is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician to join their team in Nashville, TN!

Job Description:

• Perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials such as concrete, soils, and aggregates to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Operate specialized equipment including nuclear density gauges and slump cones to assess material properties and site conditions.
• Accurately document test results and observations, maintaining detailed records for reporting and quality assurance.
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and diagrams to guide testing procedures and ensure proper execution.
• Conduct in-place density tests on soils and slump tests on concrete at various project sites including multi-family housing, schools, store fronts, and infrastructure developments.
• Support infrastructure projects such as data centers, roadways, and power systems by verifying material integrity and installation quality.
• Collaborate with project managers and site personnel to communicate findings and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Travel to job sites as needed, with flexibility to work extended hours and weekends depending on project demands.
• End clients include projects related to MDU, Education, Commercial (e.g., Walmart), Transportation/Roadway, Data Center Infrastructure, Bridge replacements, and box culvert replacements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 1+ years of experience in construction materials testing

Duration: 6 month contract to hire
