Position Summary
PCI is seeking an experienced Drywall/ACT Foreman for its Nashville 532 operations based in Springhill, TN. This individual will be responsible for directing the day‑to‑day activities of a group of journeymen and apprentices to achieve or exceed estimated labor productivity for the project. The Foreman carries out the directions of the Superintendent regarding field construction activities and related duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Hold tool‑box safety meetings and prepare written reports.
- Conduct proper and thorough accident investigations and prepare all required accident reports.
- Implement branch/job safety requirements.
- Maintain and inspect all tools and equipment.
- Achieve or exceed estimated labor productivity.
- Provide skilled craftsmanship and up‑to‑date construction techniques.
- Organize and lead a crew efficiently to maximize productivity.
- Allocate workforce to achieve optimum performance.
- Ensure materials and equipment are available and in place.
- Recommend removal and replacement of any worker to management.
- Prepare “look‑ahead” schedules consistent with the project schedule.
- Maintain a jobsite log daily or more frequently, acting as a legal record.
- Maintain a job labor control program and accurately report labor by element.
- Work closely and tactfully with customers, PCI trades, and other contractors to ensure proper coordination and meet completion dates at minimum cost.
- Ensure quality of installed work, preventing deviations from job specifications without approval.
- Receive and inspect all jobsite materials, complete paperwork, and transmit to the office.
- Notify management of any changed working conditions, plans, or customer directions.
- Attend in‑house project review meetings with the Estimator/Superintendent prior to starting the job; participate in pre‑bid strategy meetings as requested.
- Plan own activities in coordination with the Superintendent to develop efficient operations and a productive union labor force.
- Participate actively in trade associations to enhance company position in the industry.
- Maintain personal competence in the field to employ current technology, methods, and materials in bidding, estimating, and field installation.
- Establish and implement the Company Safety Program and Accident Prevention Plan.
Basic Requirements
- Minimum 3 years as a Foreman/General Foreman.
- Union Carpenter required.
- Experience working with crews of 10+ members.
- Experience on projects valued at $250,000+.
- Moderate computer skills.

- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
