About The Role The Sourcing & Production Assistant supports the Production Sourcing Manager and works closely with Production, Brand Management and Creative teams to source custom apparel and accessories, manage vendor relationships, coordinate orders, and track merchandise from sourcing through production. This role ensures timely communication, accurate tracking, and smooth workflows across internal departments, vendors, and sales channels, while assisting in the optimization of production strategies.

What

You'll Do
  • Assist the Sourcing Manager in collaborating with the Brand Management and Creative teams to source client requested items, including both accessories and custom apparel.
  • Assist and support the Production team with placing orders for accessories during high volume periods and managing general production needs.
  • Place orders for blank samples and enter POs into Net Suite for requests from Brand Managers, including samples for internal review or client presentations.
  • Additionally responsible for collecting and submitting blank tracking information from distributors and direct suppliers to print partners throughout the production process.
  • Assist in gathering and submitting sample tracking information from distributors and direct suppliers for internal and client use.
  • Assist with sending quote request emails to vendors during high volume periods, following direction on specifications, and accurately enter received quotes into QR and master sheets.
  • Research and expand the vendor roster to fulfill unique or specialized sourcing requests, utilizing SAGE and other sourcing platforms to identify reliable suppliers and maintain quality standards.
  • Update the  production board as new art setup requests are submitted, ensuring accurate tracking and visibility for the team.
  • Assist in developing production strategies and techniques to meet client budgets and timelines, including obtaining and delivering quotes promptly across departments and sales channels.
  • Monitor samples from overseas vendors and confirm production turnaround schedules, maintaining project specific calendars for sampling, bulk production, and quality assurance.
  • Troubleshoot production and scheduling issues as they arise.
  • Assist in onboarding new supplier partners to improve production strategies, timelines, and margins.
  • Evaluate partner production standards and practices to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Support vendor negotiations to achieve competitive pricing.
  • Meet with vendors regularly to maintain strong partnerships, addressing communication, pricing, and other key operational matters.
  • Maintain interdepartmental communication to ensure all processes run effectively and efficiently. Work closely with the Finance team to ensure accurate and timely capture of purchasing and sales-related transactions.
Qualifications
  • 1–3 years of experience in sourcing, production coordination, or a related merchandise operations role.
  • Basic understanding of production workflows, vendor coordination, and merchandise sourcing.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., ) and ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite) preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAGE, ASI and PPAI sourcing platforms preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments, vendors, and sales channels.
  • Experience with custom apparel, accessories, or merchandise production preferred.
  • Problem solving mindset and ability to troubleshoot production or scheduling issues independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Some travel requirements involved.
