Procurement Director

Overview

A client of Innova Solutions is hiring for a Procurement Director.
Position type: Full-time, Contract.
Duration: 12 Months.
Location: Nashville, TN 37214 (Onsite).

As a Procurement Director, you will be responsible for acquiring all materials, services, supplies, and equipment and will provide leadership and direction through a comprehensive procurement program. The role includes purchasing, property control, surplus property, receiving, and contract administration. The Temporary Director plans and directs the activities of the procurement program to support users and maintain legal compliance, financial accountability, physical control, and effective resource utilization for assigned programs.

• Assist with developing and managing Procurement staff members.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the organization and with vendors to facilitate procurement and purchasing.
• Ensure the consistent application of policies and procedures.
• Assist in departmental budget preparation.
• Maintain regular and on-time attendance.
• Follow all safety regulations.
• Support the company’s commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service, and Excellence.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Leadership & Team Management, Contract & Vendor Management, strategic Procurement & Purchasing, and proficiency in ERP/tech.

• 4–7 years of progressively responsible procurement or supply chain experience (required).

• Experience in contract administration, purchasing, and vendor management (required).
• Leadership experience managing procurement teams (preferred).
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.

• Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO).
• Other recognized procurement/supply chain certifications (e.g., CIPS, APICS).
• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar).
• Knowledge of sustainable procurement practices and supplier diversity initiatives.
• Familiarity with risk management and compliance frameworks.

Pay Range: $55 – $70 per hour

• Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on factors including education, work experience, location, job duties, certifications, etc.
