The Sales Analyst is a key member of the Revenue and Finance teams, responsible for enabling data-driven decision-making and improving sales data effectiveness. This role will focus on the design, development, automation, and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs), dashboards, forecasts, and strategic insights derived from Salesforce. Tableau, and Power BI experience is not required but a plus.

This position requires strong technical skills in data visualization and reporting, a deep understanding of sales metrics and pipeline dynamics, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and focuses on transforming complex data into actionable intelligence that supports business growth. They will work closely with revenue leadership, marketing, finance, and operations to deliver robust reporting, conduct performance analysis, and identify opportunities to enhance sales productivity, forecasting accuracy, and revenue outcomes.

Reports to: Finance Manager

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain reports and dashboards in Salesforce to track KPIs, sales performance, pipeline health, conversion metrics, and revenue trends.
  • Analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales performance across channels (wholesale, retail, e-commerce, distributors), providing key information to senior leadership with clear insights and recommendations.
  • Supports sales forecasting and demand planning processes by analyzing historical data, seasonality and launches as well as promotional calendars.
  • Partner with finance and supply chain to align forecast with production and inventory plans.
  • Track forecast accuracy against actuals, and identifies gaps or risks.
  • Supports account line reviews for the sales team with data driven insights.
  • Monitors market trends, competitive activity within pertinent categories.
  • Tracks product launches performance and provides insights to sales leaders.
  • Provides recommendations on assortment optimizations and pricing strategies.
  • Experience with Tableau and Power BI is required.
  • Partner with Revenue leadership to define, refine, and evolve key metrics that align with company objectives and go-to-market strategy.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of sales data including pipeline movement, activity metrics, conversion rates, and forecasting accuracy to identify patterns, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support quarterly and annual planning processes through data modeling, sales analysis, and forecast development.
  • Collaborate with Revenue, Marketing, and Operations to ensure data integrity and consistency across systems and to provide actionable insights that improve campaign performance.
  • Deliver regular reporting packages and executive-level dashboards, as well as ad hoc analyses, to support strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and document standardized reporting definitions, processes, and governance practices to ensure accuracy and consistency across all reporting.
  • Monitor data quality within Salesforce and other reporting platforms, identifying gaps or inconsistencies and partnering with stakeholders to resolve them.
  • Build and maintain self-service analytics tools and dashboards to empower sales leaders and front-line teams with real-time insights.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales productivity, shorten deal cycles, and increase pipeline velocity based on data-driven findings.
  • Assist in evaluating and implementing new tools, data sources, or automation technologies that improve reporting, forecasting, and operational efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications /Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Reporting.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales operations, business analytics, or similar data-focused roles, ideally within a high-growth environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Hands‑on experience building dashboards and reports in Salesforce and Power BI.
  • Hands‑on experience building dashboards and reports in working with forecast and demand planning process.
  • Experience in S&OP process an advantage, but not required.
  • Interest/Experience in beauty companies an advantage, but not required.
  • Must have extensive PC skills including spreadsheets, databases, and presentation applications.
  • Must have strong analytical, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience in or demonstrated ability to work with people/teams without formal responsibility and interacting and building rapport with teams of all levels.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
