Job Summary

As the Business Process Manager, you will play a vital role as part of the Vanderbilt University Hospital (VUH) Surgery Segment Triad Leadership Team and the Women’s Health Triad Leadership Team. Reporting directly to the Associate Operating Officer (AOO) of the VUH Surgery Segment, you will provide advanced business process and administrative support to segment leaders, ensuring the seamless operation of critical functions.

Additionally, you will collaborate as a member of the VUH Administration Support Team, contributing to the overall administrative and operational success of the VUH administration offices.

Essential Functions
  • Coordinate and manage complex calendars for the Associate Operating Officer (AOO) and Associate Nursing Officer (ANO).
  • Access, analyze, and interpret data—including financial data—to support informed decision‑making and strategic planning.
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders to communicate and validate requests for process improvements, practices, and information systems.
  • Assess business challenges and opportunities, recommend solutions, and enable the organization to achieve its goals.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage financial reporting, monitor budgets, and maintain efficient budgetary processes.
  • Represent the Surgery Triad Leadership Team in a professional manner, interacting daily with VUMC leadership, key stakeholders, and administrative professionals.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office:
    Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams Premium
  • Priority given to candidates with experience in Tableau, SharePoint, Work Day, and PO Management
  • Ability to effectively and comfortably communicate with all levels of personnel, especially executive-level team members
Location and Work Hours

On‑site at the Main Vanderbilt Medical Center campus, North Tower on Medical Center Dr. Monday‑Friday, traditional daytime business hours.
