Who we are and what we do:The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development is the state agency established to promote workforce development and improve workplace safety and health throughout the state.
How you make a difference in this role:The Administrative Services Assistant 3 is key in assisting with the planning, organization, promotion and successful completion of projects, production and maintenance. This position is responsible for administrative support work in the Workplace Regulations & Compliance Division's administrative staff.
Job Overview conocida:Work to assist with Customer Service Excellence in all program units (Mine Safety, Boilers & Elevators, Amusement Devices, and Labor Standards).
Key Responsibilities:Work with other administrative staff to execute both formal and informal administrative development activities and events; improve administrative effectiveness across all Units in the Division.
Minimum Qualifications:- Graduation from an accredited college or with a bachelor's degree AND experience equivalent to three years of increasingly responsible full-time professional staff administrative experience.
- Qualifying full-time increasingly responsible sub professional, paraprofessional, or professional experience may be substituted for the required education, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of four years.
- Additional graduate coursework in public administration, business administration, or other acceptable field may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years. OR Two years of increasingly responsible professional administrative services experience with the State of Tennessee.
