Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day accounts payable operations in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with vendors, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting efficient payment processes.

• Process a high volume of invoices and ensure accurate entry into the accounting system.
• Maintain vendor records and assist with new vendor setup and documentation.
• Review invoices for accuracy and proper approvals prior to processing.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment status and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and assist with weekly check runs and electronic payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding balances.
• Maintain organized files and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting as needed.
• Support the accounting team with administrative and data entry tasks.
• Monitor accounts payable inbox and respond to internal and external inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures.

• 2+ years of accounts payable or accounting support experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with accounting or AP systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
