SHR Talent is partnering with a live event production and entertainment services client in Nashville, TN in its search for an Accounting Manager. This Accounting Manager will play a critical leadership role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, and strengthening internal controls within a rapidly growing, private equity-backed organization. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment supporting large-scale live events, concerts, sporting events, and global productions.

The Accounting Manager will oversee general ledger activities, manage the month-end and year-end close process, and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting policies. This role will also partner cross-functionally with operations, payroll, and executive leadership to support financial reporting, audit readiness, and continuous process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) experience, leadership capability, and the ability to build scalable accounting processes in a dynamic entertainment and event services organization.

This is a direct hire opportunity with candidates expected to be based in the Nashville, TN area. This opportunity holds an onsite schedule Monday through Thursday, with Fridays remote optional.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and maintain general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Lead and support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, financial statement preparation, and variance analysis
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely, accurate transaction processing and posting
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), internal accounting policies, and internal controls, identifying and remediating control deficiencies
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and maintaining audit readiness
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred, but not required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Prior management or supervisory experience, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Sage Intacct, preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
