Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Nashville, TN (100% in office)

Job Type: Contract-to-Hire

Compensation: $25-26/hr

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support the day-to-day accounts payable function for a growing organization. This role is ideal for someone with strong accounts payable experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure accurate coding and timely entry into the accounting system.
  • Prepare and process payments including checks, ACH, and electronic payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records and documentation.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding invoice and payment inquiries.
  • Support accounts payable processes across multiple business locations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy within AP processes.
  • Assist with special projects and other accounting support tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of accounts payable experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
