Epika is a rapidly growing, private equity–backed platform providing mobile and in-shop preventive maintenance services to commercial fleets nationwide. Backed by Ares Management, Epika is executing an active buy-and-build strategy, partnering with high-quality operators and scaling through organic growth and acquisitions.
We are building a best-in-class finance organization to support this growth and are seeking an Accounting Manager to play a key role in owning accounting operations while partnering closely with finance leadership and operations.
The RoleReporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accounting Manager will own the accounting close and core accounting processes for one or more Epika operating brands. This role combines strong technical accounting execution with operational partnership and exposure to M&A, integrations, and process improvement.
This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys accountability, thrives in a fast-paced PE environment, and wants visibility into how accounting supports value creation.
Key Responsibilities Accounting & Close- Own the monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and oversee AR, AP, Inventory and cash-related accounting activities.
- Review and analyze monthly results, identifying variances and trends.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
- Support external audits and act as a key liaison with auditors.
- Assist with sales/use tax, payroll-related accounting, and other compliance requirements.
- Partner with operations and finance to explain results and support decision-making.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and working capital analysis.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for leadership.
- Support acquisition accounting, including purchase accounting and net working capital true-ups.
- Assist with onboarding newly acquired businesses into Net Suite and related systems.
- Help standardize accounting processes across a growing, multi-entity platform.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, system optimization, and process redesign.
- Leverage Net Suite, Flo Qast, Power
BI and reporting tools to improve close efficiency and data quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or industry).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and multi-entity environments.
- CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred.
- Experience in distribution, services, fleet, or multi-location businesses is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with Net Suite;
Flo Qast and Power
BI experience a plus. - Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability.

- Clear communicator who can partner effectively with non-finance leaders.
