Associate Accountant at Troubadour Golf and Field Club

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Associate Accountant to support the Finance and Accounting Department at the Troubadour Golf & Field Club, located outside of Nashville, Tennessee.

• General Ledger Maintenance
  • Record journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Process AP transactions, including invoice coding, approval, and payment.
  • Support AR by preparing invoices, sending them, and monitoring collections.
• Financial Reporting
  • Contribute to accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Assist in generating financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Expense Management
  • Reconcile and analyze expenses, ensuring proper classification.
• Audit Support
  • Prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
• Bank Reconciliation
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Monitor cash balances and report issues or concerns.
• Compliance and Internal Controls
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls.
• Financial Analysis
  • Support financial analysis by preparing variance reports and trend analyses.
  • Assist in identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Experience:
  
  Entry‑level; prior internship or coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to Detail:
  Strong accuracy and ability to correct errors.
• Communication:
  Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with team members and other departments.
