The Staff Accountant is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and rapidly growing organization at the forefront of their industry. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations
- Lead the month-end close process, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing actionable insights and recommendations
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and maintain strong internal controls
- Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and explanations to support quarterly and annual audits
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in accounting processes and contribute to the implementation of best practices
- Work closely with finance, operations, and leadership teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a publicly traded organization
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance
- Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Net Suite, SAP, or Oracle
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
