We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our fast-paced Accounting + Finance team.

Accounting/Auditing and Finance
- Oversee and manage all aspects of property accounting, including the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Perform detailed general ledger account analysis and reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with GAAP.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual income statements, identifying trends, variances, and areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with the property management team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of property financial results.
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing input based on historical trends and future projections.
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules, compliance reports, and tax returns.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff, fostering an environment of learning and development.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Progressive experience in property accounting, preferably in the real estate industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts, and corporate procedures.
- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting complex income statements and balance sheets.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial colleagues.
- A proactive approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
