Availability:
Full-time, Monday–Friday.
- Essential Duties & Functions:
Assume responsibility for a variety of accounting functions, specifically income journal, internal audits, accounts receivable, and accounts payable in coordination with the rest of the accounting team. Monitor, prepare, and communicate financial reports in accordance with all due dates and ensure compliance with Highgate’s internal financial audit. Communicate with CS to ensure group and function payments are accurate and timely.
Assist with collection calls on outstanding accounts and monitor outgoing payments due to our vendors. Support the month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure accurate and efficient processes throughout. - Supportive Duties & Functions:
Perform a combination of supportive functions for the accounting department, including but not limited to AP/AR duties, payroll support in tandem with Human Resources, and other duties deemed necessary by supervisors.
- You are a detailed person who brings enthusiasm to accounting functions and is eager to learn. You propose more efficient ways to run day-to-day accounting operations. You are organized, reliable, and can keep meticulous records. You have a high school education and ideally an Associate degree or higher in Accounting or a related field. Prior hotel accounting experience is a plus.
You can communicate effectively and courteously over the telephone and in person. - Physical & Work Requirements:
You may be required to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or be able to life, carry, push, pull or move objects.
