• Bachelors degree
• 4+ years progressive accounting experience
• Multi-state sales and use tax knowledge
• Exemption certificate knowledge
• Excel skills

• CPA or CMA preferred

A large-scale manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional with sales and use tax knowledge.

• Setting up new customers in the billing system
• Establishing tax exemption status
• Following up with customers to ensure proper tax documentation is provided
• Working with existing customers when tax exemption documents expire
• Supporting existing customers when they expand into new states
• Managing all accounting operations based on accounting principles
• Preparing budget and financial forecasts
• Publishing financial statements on time
• Conducting month-end and year-end close processes
  
  Collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information
• Computing taxes and preparing tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement etc
• Developing periodic reports for management
• Auditing financial transactions and documenting accounting control procedures
• Keeping information confidential and securing it with regular database backups
• Keeping up with financial policies, regulations and legislation
