Job Summary

We seek a Tax Manager for our Real Estate Practice to oversee tax preparation and review for real estate-related businesses, ensuring compliance with tax regulations. Responsibilities include leading the tax team, advising on complex issues, delegating assignments, and supporting professional development within the team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strong relationships with top real estate companies
  • Provide proactive tax advice during industry disruptions
  • Communicate engagement progress and resolutions effectively
  • Analyze industry trends and develop strategic solutions
  • Collaborate internally to expand business opportunities
  • Review and prepare work papers supporting various tax transactions
  • Review legal documents related to tax matters
  • Manage engagement economics, billing, and collections
  • Enhance professional knowledge and skills
  • Mentor and develop team members
  • Expand professional network and attract new business
  • Represent the firm in the community and professional organizations
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law;
    Master’s in Tax/LLM preferred
  • 5+ years in public accounting, managing real estate tax projects
  • Experience in team management and workflow oversight
  • Deep knowledge of real estate taxes, especially partnerships
  • Experience with flow-through distributions and Operating Agreements
  • EA License or CPA certification required
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Proficiency with tax software and technology
