You can work as much or as little as you like as an On-Demand Team Member (TM) and your schedule may vary depending on shift availability and store needs. This role is ideal for those looking for a personalized work schedule.

As an On-Demand TM, you will not be included on the posted weekly schedule, but you will have the opportunity to create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members (via our myTime mobile scheduling app) that work best with your schedule. When you choose to pick up a shift, reliable and prompt attendance is necessary.

You will be expected to engage by picking up and working shifts at least every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours). Flexibility can be granted in certain circumstances, but you must respond to our attempts to contact you to confirm interest in shifts. If you do not respond, employment may be terminated. If you do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be administratively terminated.

Your communication and ability to work when the business demands it are critical to success in this role. Should you be offered a position, you will be required to attend a Target Welcome orientation and commit to a short-term structured training schedule. After that, the myTime app is where you can pick up shifts you desire to work.

• Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming guest experience.
• Greet guests and assist with daily tasks and guest needs.
• Provide knowledge about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve experiences.
• Scan, bag, and handle items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards.
• Minimize guest wait times while maintaining service and accuracy.
• Inform guests about current launches, store activities, and events.
• Explain and assist with Target Loyalty programs and fulfillment services; help guests enroll and use them.
• Assist guests with Wallet, Target App features, and other offerings.
• Handle returns per policy, escalate to leadership when needed.
• De-escalate situations and recover guest experiences per policy.
• Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies as needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and report hazards; perform duties safely at all times.
• Support cash office processes as needed and manage cash systems.
• All other duties based on business needs.
