Role Responsibilities- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients. Assist with hospital functions to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state’s Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians.
- Monitor and assess patient status.
- Collect blood and other samples for testing.
- Place catheters.
- Communicate with clients about health concerns and Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
- Maintain relevant, comprehensive medical records with practice systems support.
- Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and keep treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs clean and organized.
- Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
- Previous veterinary experience is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, squat, reach, stand, and walk throughout the day.
