The hours for this role will be Fri, Sat & Sun from 10:00AM – 10:00 PM - 36-hour role, but paid for a full 40. This role includes a 20% shift differential.

How You Will Make An Impact

Manufacturing Technicians play a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient production operations. They are responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment to meet quality and safety standards, directly impacting product reliability and customer satisfaction. By troubleshooting issues and performing preventive maintenance, they minimize downtime and optimize workflow. Their attention to detail and adherence to process controls help maintain compliance with regulatory and company standards.

Ultimately, Manufacturing Technicians drive operational excellence by supporting continuous improvement and enabling consistent delivery of high-quality products.

Monitor day to day processes, assisting department employees with technical problem solving, while also sharing skills and training operators with troubleshooting skills. This also includes escalations from Operations for complex technical or quality issues as well as aiding maintenance when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Liaison between operations and process engineers, getting questions answered in a timely manner and escalating out of control conditions for next level support.
  • Assist with scheduling/planning as needed while recommending job orders for efficient changeovers.
  • Help support a data-driven, metric-focused organization to meet and/or exceed established standards and goals for safety, security, quality, uptime and yield.
  • Report metrics on KPI and 5S boards, shift reports, flag waste, and downtime, etc.
  • Assist in CAPA containment activities and investigations.
  • Work with supervisors and machine operators to ensure compliance with process and product SOPs, customer specifications, standard work, checklists, security, safety and other requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement activities and engineering project assignments.
Knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role Required
  • 5+ years experience and solid background in manufacturing as a machine operator or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate with operators, supervisors and engineers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient with plant applications and business system software such as WCBC, JDE, etc.
  • Experience as a production lead or pre-technician
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, push, and pull frequently. Lift/carry up to 50bs and vision correctable to 20/20.
Preferred
  • Associates degree or commensurate experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of our mixing process
  • Ability to work with the Microsoft office products.
