Overview
Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are now hiring a Registered Behavior Technician in Nashua, NH
. Registered behavior technicians work in homes, schools, and community settings with children, adolescents, and adults, using best practices to teach the critical skills needed for everyone to live a meaningful and independent life. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing individualized behavior interventions in multiple settings. - Provide onsite services to participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities through evidence-based and data driven methodologies that include trauma-informed care and positive behavior supports
- Model and implement behavioral support strategies specified in the Behavior Plan that assist the participant with acquiring, retaining, improving, and generalizing the behavioral, self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to function successfully in the home and the community
- Provide timely and structured written feedback to the clinicians on the provision and effectiveness of the Behavior Plan and strategies
- Participate in onsite meetings or instructional sessions with the participant’s support network regarding the recommendations, strategies, and next steps identified in the Behavior Plan
- Collect data on progress and work collaboratively to ensure effective behavior reduction, skill acquisition, and skill generalization
- Prepare progress reports for the participant’s team as needed
- Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned
- Employee must cooperate with the license and department staff in any inspection, inquiry, or investigation
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Successfully complete a 40-hour behavioral technician training
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Knowledge of Positive Behavior Supports
- Ability to implement Behavior Plans independently and confidently
- Excellent time management skills
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing
