About the Job: The Patient Access Representative is responsible for registering patients arriving via ambulance, walk-in, pre-registration, and scheduled encounters. This role ensures the accurate collection of demographic and insurance information, assists patients with financial resources, processes copays, and secures required documentation and signatures. Representatives also support compliance initiatives and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the hospital.

What You’ll Do
  • Monitor EPIC tracking boards for admissions and registration needs.

  • Register Direct Admits, Labor & Delivery, BHU, and Emergency Department patients.

  • Perform bedside registration, including patient interviews, demographic/insurance collection, and copay processing.

  • Collect IMM and MOON signatures for Medicare patients.

  • Provide financial information including Charity Care and Self-Pay options.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital, DNV, and Corporate Integrity policies.

  • Utilize translation services for patients with language or hearing barriers.

  • Answer phone calls and assist patients across hospital departments.
