Occupational Therapist Career Opportunities
Maine Health is seeking Occupational Therapists for a variety of units/specialties throughout the system in Maine and New Hampshire! We have full time, part time and per diem opportunities in various settings including Pediatric, Inpatient/Outpatient, Senior Services and much more!
Locations- Mid-Coast Maine (Brunswick, Damariscotta, Rockport, Belfast)
- Southern Maine (Portland/Greater Portland, Biddeford, Sanford)
- Western Maine (Farmington, Norway)
- North Conway, New Hampshire
The Occupational Therapist role organizes and conducts prescribed skilled occupational therapy programs through the application of purposeful, goal-directed activity in the treatment of persons whose function is impaired by physical illness or injury, emotional disorder, congenital or developmental disability or the aging process to achieve the optimum functioning, to prevent disability, and to maintain health.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Graduate of an AOTA accredited Occupational Therapist program required.
Certifications:
Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as an Occupational Therapist required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Positions in Home Care will require current valid Driver's License with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy.
One year of experience working in a hospital, long-term care, home, school system or outpatient Occupational Therapy department preferred.
