About the JobAs a member of the Patient Care Services team, the Nursing Assistant Student provides direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Clinical Instructor during their inpatient clinical classes. The LNA student delivers care that is defined within the NH Board of Nursing Practice Act, the scope of the nursing assistant. The LNA Student assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), provides emotional support, responds to patient needs and monitors the patient’s environment for safety, and performs more complex clinical skills under the direction of an RN.
WhatYou’ll Do
Under the direction of Clinical Instructor/RN/LNA
- Collects and documents basic patient care information as delegated.
- Performs basic patient care activities and related services.
- Maintains a safe patient care environment.
- LNA license is required to be obtained within 60 days of completion of course. If it is not obtained, the employee will no longer be eligible to remain in the LNA position.
- Successful completion of BLS training. (Provided through program)
- Intent to work with Southern NH Medical Center Full-Time
