Position Summary:
Development/Design Engineering Intern – 2026 Summer Internship Program
Location:
Nashua, NH
Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). The position will be located in Nashua, NH.
ResponsibilitiesThis role supports the Development Engineering group. Job functions will include assisting in all aspects of product R&D, including mechanical design and assembly of electrical cables and/or connectors and components, product integrity testing, and technical documentation.
What You’ll Do- Engineering build / manual assembly of prototypes
- 3D modeling and engineering drawings utilizing CAD
- Supporting mechanical and electrical lab testing
- Documentation of test results and presentations
- Component / assembly quality inspection
- Interfacing with other engineering disciplines in the design and manufacturing process of interconnect products
A good candidate should be at least a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering or Plastics Engineering programs.
- Experience in Pro-E or Solidworks
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools desirable
- Ability to communicate with technical & non-technical people.
- Ability to work in team environment.
