Engineering Technician – Extrusion & Materials – Advanced Materials and Technology team, location:
Nashua, NH.

Responsibilities- Responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring and tearing down the extrusion line for wire, cable and medical extrusion processes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, maintenance schedules, extrusion run logs of the extrusion line and analytical equipment of the team.
- Support Advanced Materials Engineers during implementation and validation of new materials, extrusion processes, screening of new pieces of equipment and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support raw material testing by performing sample preparation, measurements, and analysis as necessary (thermal analysis, rheology and mechanical testing).
- Plan, execute, and report results of product‑level test and measurement methods.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during testing and laboratory activity.
- Keep the work area, machines, and tooling inventory clean and organized.
- Associate’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience on wire & cable and/or catheter/medical device extrusion.
- Strong knowledge of extrusion raw materials, including polyolefins and fluoropolymers.
- Proficiency with extrusion auxiliary equipment such as pay‑off, take‑up, measuring devices, vacuum sizer/calibrators, pullers, melt pumps.
- Experience with disassembling and cleaning extrusion equipment and extrusion die.
- Knowledge of polymer characterization including mechanical, thermal and rheology (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively.
- Hands‑on attitude and desire to be “hands on.”
- Competency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
