POSITION: Lunch Monitor

SCHOOL: Birch Hill Elementary School

REPORTS TO: Principal

STARTING: ASAP

SALARY RANGE: $14.41/hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience with children desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Cooperative with co‑workers and physically capable of supervising students.
• Competent in executing cafeteria routines and procedures.
• Effectively communicate with faculty, staff, and administration to resolve issues.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow procedures for an orderly lunch program.
• Notify school nurse or office in case of student injury.
• Respond appropriately to student behaviors consistent with the school discipline policy.
• Promote and encourage good table manners, eating habits, and common courtesies.
• Ensure students practice proper cleanliness in the cafeteria.
• Promote a positive cafeteria environment.
• Maintain a safe and orderly environment for students.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school principal.
