Position OverviewThe Senior Sales Executive – Seafood Division will own the company’s national sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and strengthen long‑term customer partnerships across retail and food service channels. This role requires deep experience in protein or seafood sales, strong leadership, and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on execution.
Reporting directly to the President, this leader will be a key voice in shaping Monarch Trading’s commercial direction.
Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Growth- Develop and execute a national sales strategy aligned with Monarch Trading’s growth objectives across retail, food service, non‑traditional and emerging channels.
- Drive top‑line revenue growth while managing margin, pricing, and mix in a commodity‑driven seafood environment.
- Identify new market opportunities, product launches, and channel expansion initiatives.
- Lead and manage relationships with key national and regional accounts, including retailers, food service distributors, and large operators.
- Serve as the senior commercial contact for strategic customers, negotiating programs, contracts, pricing, and promotional activity.
- Partner with customers on category management, innovation, and long‑term growth planning.
- Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing national sales organization.
- Collaborate closely with procurement, operations, marketing, QA, and supply chain to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Align sales forecasts with supply availability, seasonality, and sourcing realities unique to seafood.
- Own and achieve annual sales targets, forecasts, and budgets.
- Monitor KPIs, pipeline performance, and customer profitability.
- Travel as needed to support key accounts, industry events, and internal alignment.
- 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably within seafood, protein, or perishable CPG/food service.
- Proven success managing national accounts in both branded retail and food service channels.
- Strong understanding of seafood market dynamics, including pricing volatility, sourcing, seasonality, and inventory risk.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence cross‑functionally, and operate at the executive level.
- Experience working in a $500M+ revenue organization strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel nationally as required.
- Strategic thinker with a hands‑on leadership style.
- Strong negotiator and relationship builder.
- Data‑driven, financially savvy, and results‑oriented.
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, margin‑sensitive seafood environment.
