The role (what you’ll own)

You’ll be the friendly face in our showroom and the voice behind our digital marketing. Half of your time is consultative selling—guiding customers from idea → design → install. The other half amplifies that momentum online—keeping our site current, creating simple content, and running light-weight campaigns that generate qualified foot traffic and calls.

The Retail Sales & Marketing Associate position is great for someone with previous experience in showroom-style retail sales who enjoys engaging with people, has excellent communication skills (both in person and in writing), is willing to learn our complex inventory options, is not afraid to ask questions, and finds joy and motivation by pairing the perfect products with the customers interest.

What success looks like

30 days

  • Learn our product catalog, options, and site constraints
  • Shadow several different installs
  • Answer 90% of common customer questions.
  • Maintain a clean, on-brand showroom that converts (pricing visible, displays refreshed weekly).
  • Identify areas of the business (especially digital) where your efforts can add value

60 days

  • Keep on-site and website inventory, and price sheets 100% current
  • Respond to new leads within 1 business hour during open hours.
  • Begin implementing marketing strategy; publish 2–3 weekly posts (FB/IG) + 1 email/month.

90 days

  • Drive 5–10 incremental showroom appointments/month via your marketing.
  • Consistently quote accurately; achieve +
    20% showroom close rate on qualified traffic.
  • Work on more involved marketing/website development strategies such as Google & Facebook Ads

What you’ll do (day-to-day)

Sales & Customer Experience

  • Greet walk-ins, discover needs, design solutions, produce quotes, and follow up until install.
  • Track every lead and stage (no orphaned inquiries).
  • Keep price lists, brochures, tags, and displays updated.
  • Unload new merchandise and configure the design of the showroom.
  • Work outdoors regularly (all seasons) in the display yard.

Marketing & Merchandising

  • Update our Word Press site with in-stock items, accurate specs/pricing, and simple landing pages.
  • Run lightweight Google Ads (incl. PMAX) and Meta boost campaigns within a monthly budget; report what’s working.
  • Create simple social content (phone photos/videos are fine) for Instagram/Facebook
    ; post 2–3×/week.
  • Send a monthly email (Mailchimp) featuring new arrivals, promos, or project spotlights.
  • List items on Facebook Marketplace and reply promptly.
  • Capture install photos & quick customer quotes for before/after stories.

Tools you’ll touch Word Press, Google Ads, GA4, Meta Business Suite, Mailchimp, Capcut, Google Workspace (Docs/Sheets/Drive), basic CRM/lead tracker.

Must-haves

  • 1–5 years retail showroom or consultative sales experience with tangible products.
  • Clear communicator (in-person, phone, email, text) and fast follow-up
    .
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented; comfortable outdoors and lifting 50 lbs
    .
  • Solid Google Workspace skills; you can update a website, edit a spreadsheet, and write clean copy.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; reliable transportation; on-time
  • Ability to work one weekend day.

Nice-to-haves

  • Word Press editing, basic HTML familiarity.
  • Google Ads/PMAX, GA4, Meta basics.
  • Email marketing (Mailchimp).
  • Simple video/phone editing;
    Capcut or other platform
  • Basic construction/landscaping terminology.

Compensation & benefits

  • Base: $26–$30 per hour (experience-based).
