Pay rate $95,000/year

The Executive Director is responsible for on-going, routine operations, community relations and business development, for the Genacross Campus and the coordination of business strategies within the Genacross Campus.

What will I do as an Executive Director?
  • Conducts all routine business of Genacross Campus including the selection, supervision and guidance of staff.
  • Responsible for treatment, programs, program development, program expansion, including areas such as development of networks, collaborations and managed care systems.
  • Responsible for all compliance activities and maintenance of licensure, certification, and accreditation standards for programs within Genacross Campus.
  • Assures highest quality, efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Consults with Director of Operations on behalf of Genacross Campus Board prior to implementing initiatives or changes requiring Board approval.
  • Consults with Board Treasurer on behalf of Genacross Lutheran Services Board prior to implementing any budget variance in staffing or expenditures.
  • Consults with Board Treasurer on behalf of Genacross Campus Board on from approved standard practices, procedures, or protocols, and any proposed variance from Board policy prior to discussion with the Board.
  • Consults with Board Treasurer on behalf of Genacross Campus Board immediately upon recognition of unbudgeted emergency expenditure requirement prior to expenditure.
  • Consults with Board Treasurer on behalf of the Board prior to any unbudgeted spending, regardless of dollar amount.
  • Consults with Board Treasurer on behalf of Genacross Campus Board on all new and renewed leases, contracts, options or any other third-party relationships involving legal and /or financial obligations.
  • Consults with Director of Operations on behalf of Genacross Board prior to any public policy advocacy or lobbying activities that formally or informally represents the position Genacross Napoleon Campus.
  • Functions as the sales leader of Genacross Campus in order to meet defined census goals.
  • Consults with Board Treasurer on behalf of Genacross Napoleon Board when developing budget prior to seeking Board approval; including, but not limited to operations costing and revenues, changes in staffing, raises, promotions, incentives, merit considerations, severance packages, and/or any changes in benefits, whether compensated or uncompensated.
  • Responsible for the implementation of Genacross policies and procedures as they impact Genacross Campus.
  • Cooperates with Genacross, as determined by Director of Operations, in implementing Ministry Support functions and policies including but not limited to development, fund raising, church and public relations, financial services, human resources, marketing, public and church relations, etc.
  • Cooperatively works with leaders in the development and implementation of programs and policies, strategic growth in furtherance of Genacross mission and values.
  • Reports allegations of abuse/neglect and reports, as appropriate, to proper organization leadership.
  • Reports hazardous incidents, including but not limited to, injuries, equipment, etc. to the appropriate Manager/Supervisor.
  • Implements and follows disaster plans in the event of an emergency.
Executive Director Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of administrative responsibility.
  • State of Ohio Nursing Home Administrator license.
  • Meets all necessary accreditation and certification standards required for the position by payors such as State of Ohio Medicaid Warrants (ODJFS), CMS, National Government Services etc. and/or accrediting/certifying organizations such as OANO Standards of Excellence
  • Possesses strong strategic planning, organizational, budgeting, program development, and supervisory skills.
  • Has excellent human relation skills
  • Familiarity with basic computer skills. Ability to learn new software applications as required by the position.
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with senior executives, managers, supervisors and direct care staff, as well as residents, families and physicians.
  • Understands directions; communicates and responds to inquiries promptly.
