Summary of Responsibilities Quality Engineer (1099 Contractor | Potential Contract-to-Hire)

Stratosphere Quality is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support a short-term engagement within a manufacturing environment in Napoleon, OH.

This is an immediate need for an independent 1099 contractor expected to support on-site operations for approximately 1–2 months. There is potential for extension or transition into a longer-term opportunity based on performance and business needs.

• Provide on-site quality engineering support within a manufacturing setting
• Assist with process control and production readiness
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action efforts
• Participate in launch or production start-up activities
• Support documentation, validation and reporting
• Reinforce adherence to quality standards and customer requirements
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of quality systems and process control methodsl>
• Familiarity with structured problem‑solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, etc.)
• Exposure to PPAP, launch support or process validation preferred
• Ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced plant environment

Preferred:

• Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience
• Experience in automotive or OEM‑driven manufacturing environments
• Six Sigma, CQE or similar certification

• 1099 Independent Contractor
• On‑site in Napoleon, OH
• Estimated duration: 1–2 months
• Potential for extension or contract‑to‑hire
• Compensation aligned with experience level
