About the RoleThis part‑time, summer internship provides a broad overview of the construction industry and exposure to multiple areas of our business. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals and learn about operations in Quality Control, Quarries & Sand Yards, Paving & Trucking, Ready Mix Concrete & Building Materials, and Asphalt Plants
. This internship will be 24 hours per week
, giving you flexibility while gaining valuable experience.
- Shadow experienced professionals to understand the construction process
- Observe aggregate, lab, and density testing
- Learn about mix design and production processes
- See how scheduling, ticketing, and dispatching work in real time
- Gain insight into project management and job site operations
- Attend training sessions designed to build your knowledge
- Occasionally assist with hands‑on projects
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Work in various weather conditions and tolerate typical job site environments
- Ability to travel to job sites
- High school diploma or equivalent (or currently enrolled in college)
- Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record
- Willingness to learn with a positive attitude and dependability
- Strong communication skills and ability to work safely
- Interest in construction, engineering, or related fields
