The Warehouse Associate will receive incoming donations, sort and process merchandise according to proper procedure, and maintain cleanliness of warehouse(s) and surrounding areas, including restrooms, donation sorting areas, storage areas and grounds. Responsibilities in the Donation Drop Off area include receiving incoming merchandise and food donations; sorting and processing them for appropriate placement; fostering long‑lasting relationships and educating donors regarding our programs and services.

• Maintain a high level of professionalism, including safety, courtesy, and positive communication.
• Be trustworthy, work well in a team environment, and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Work safely and cooperatively with a variety of team members.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of warehouse(s), sorting area(s), storage containers, restrooms and other surrounding areas; light grounds keeping may be required.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the commercial waste receptacle area, including breaking down large unsalable items and placing them neatly into appropriate receptacles.
• Move processed and unprocessed donations and other items between warehouses and storage areas.
• Operate heavy equipment; will be trained and certified as needed.
• Assist warehouse staff with the loading and unloading of donated items, ensuring that they remain undamaged and are placed in the correct position and location.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Assistant Manager and assist with daily duties.

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: No experience necessary; training will be provided.
• Travel Demands: Flexibility in work hours; the position requires some overtime and ability to work on some holidays.
• Confidentiality: Works with confidential information.
• Mental/Visual Demands: Normal mental and visual capabilities required.
• Physical Demands: Standing, walking, reaching, bending and stooping for long periods; handling, feeling and/or reaching with hands and arms; frequently lifting and/or moving items up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• Working Areas: Warehouse(s) and surrounding exterior and interior areas.
