Description
The Warehouse Associate will receive incoming donations, sort and process merchandise according to proper procedure, and maintain cleanliness of the warehouse and surrounding areas, including restrooms, donation sorting areas, storage areas, and grounds.

• Receive incoming merchandise and food donations; sort and process them for the appropriate places.
• Foster long‑lasting relationships and educate donors regarding our programs and services.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism, safety, courtesy, and positive communication.
• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the warehouse, sorting area, storage containers, restrooms, and surrounding areas; light grounds keeping may be required.
• Maintain cleanliness of the commercial waste receptacle area, breaking down large unsalable items and placing them into appropriate receptacles.
• Move processed and unprocessed donations between warehouses and storage areas.
• Operate heavy equipment; will be trained and certified as needed.
• Assist warehouse staff with loading and unloading donated items, ensuring they remain undamaged and are placed correctly.
• Work closely with the Warehouse Assistant Manager and assist with daily duties.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No experience necessary; training will be provided.
• Must be trustworthy, work well in a team environment, and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
• Ability to work safely and cooperatively in a variety of situations with a variety of team members.
• Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• Available for overtime and some holidays.

This position requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, and stooping for long periods. The employee must handle and reach with hands and arms and frequently lift and/or move items up to 75 pounds with assistance.

Flexibility in work hours; this position may require some overtime and work on certain holidays.
