Driver Manager
Join our team and help keep operations running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. We're seeking a dependable, experienced professional who can support drivers, reinforce safety standards, and provide day-to-day operational leadership.
Monday through Friday 8am-5pm on call two nights a week and every other weekend. We are open to out of state applicants interested in relocating Florida. Relocation assistance is negotiable.
Key Responsibilities Driver Communication & Oversight- Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during shifts
- Address questions, provide updates, and resolve or elevate concerns
- Facilitate regular driver huddles to align expectations and goals
- Assist with developing and adjusting driver schedules
- Coordinate coverage for absences, callouts, and gaps
- Conduct routine truck and equipment inspections
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness standards
- Verify maintenance issues are properly documented and reported
- Support post–road test training and identify skill gaps
- Collaborate on coaching plans to strengthen driver performance
- Promote adherence to policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Provide constructive feedback and elevate concerns when necessary
- Act as a communication bridge between drivers and management
- Lead by example with professionalism and safety awareness
- Assist with onboarding, training packets, road test coordination
- Support compliance with certifications (TIMS/NIMS, etc.)
- Recognize strong performance to boost morale and engagement
- 1–3 years of tow truck operating experience required
- Clean driving record
- Ability to drive a manual transmission
- Minimum Class E license
- Basic computer skills (email, typing, data entry)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with TOPS or similar dispatch software preferred
- Spanish fluency preferred
- Must pass a background check (law enforcement rotation requirements)
