- Operate the vehicle in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and all local, state, and federal requirements and Company expectations for the Fleet; maintain a clean and safe vehicle.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle using the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report); note all issues on the DVIR form for corrective review/repair.
- Immediately report any unsafe situations or service calls to Operations Manager or Dispatch before attempting service.
- Participate and cooperate in all scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by Operations Manager.
- Work closely with Operations Managers to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts.
- Perform all duties as scheduled by Operations Manager or Dispatch, assisting other company drivers as directed.
- Notify Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Notify Dispatch or Operations Manager of issues as prescribed by Service Machine protocol, including blocked containers, potential missed pick-ups, or problems that arise on the route.
- Communicate customer requests or issues to Dispatch or Operations Manager.
- Completely dump all containers and leave the customer’s location clean and free of debris.
- Complete and submit customer tickets when excess yardage must be removed.
- Position containers on the customer’s property in a manner that ensures lids are properly replaced, containers are set upright, and containers do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
- Follow route assignments throughout the day and complete all documentation when checking in at the end of the route.
This job has no supervisory duties.

No prior work experience required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
- Commercial Driver’s License B (CDL).
- The CDL is a requirement; therefore, an applicant must be 18 years of age.
- Successfully complete pre‑employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check and motor vehicle record review.
- Acceptable driving record required.
