** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site personnel and local public agencies as directed.

+ Operate in an armed post by carrying and handling assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies, maintaining weapon retention awareness and completing required inspections and documentation.

+ Complete routine documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and access control records, and communicate significant conditions to supervision and/or site contacts in a timely manner.

* + Possess an Armed Guard Card and/or license.

+ Be at least 21 years of age.

+ Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an Associates Degree with 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.

+ X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

+ A valid firearms permit is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
