Specialized Operations Associate
Job Description
Under the leadership of the Assistant General Manager, Operations, the Specialized Operations Associate is responsible for the daily operations of the General Office and operational functions of the Jewelry Department.
Responsibilities
- General Office responsibilities: opening the store, managing safe and controller, operating registers, distributing reports, morning cash entry, bank deposits, reconciling chargebacks, counting register and petty cash.
- Resolving customer issues (internal and external), researching/payment of bills, tracking/processing customer packages.
- Jewelry Operations: follow Jewelry Standards and Shipping Guidelines, receive, verify, and properly book all jewelry; process re‑tickets, RTVs, transfers, ASN shipments, and price changes.
- Retrieve and process all merchandise to be returned/transferred to vendors; complete case counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain repair log, track repairs sent to vendors or local shops, and submit repair invoices.
- Receive and verify all merchandise for trunk shows, assist in show setup/takedown, recap results.
- Prepare and submit special order requests and Statements of Sale when requested.
- Communicate with Corporate Merchants, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control and vendors as needed.
- Ensure internal audit readiness and adherence to Internal Audit standards, including monitoring vault/safe contents.
- Assist managers and associates on the selling floor as necessary; process fulfillment orders; perform ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Demonstrates comfort flexing all communication styles and establishes positive interpersonal relationships.
- Evaluates progress against key performance drivers and assesses organizational opportunities and risks.
- Drives positive outcomes through objectives and measures while monitoring progress and results.
- Consistently generates and shares original ideas, tackling both simple and complex problems.
- Ability to lift cartons up to 15 lbs, climb ladders, and handle racks and carts of merchandise.
- Strong computer skills (Google, MS Office) and ability to adapt to changing technology.
- Works well in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment that requires high‑level multi‑tasking with minimal supervision.
- Works a flexible schedule as per business needs and adheres to dependability standards.
- Demonstrates attention to detail and keeps personal work space organized.
- Applies store policies and procedures to aid decision‑making.
- Verbal and written communication skills; handles telephone and face‑to‑face interactions effectively and professionally.
- Maintains confidentiality when handling issues.

Salary Range
: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 (may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and geographic location).
